SEC 1 ADMISSION MATTERS

On behalf of the staff and students at CHIJ Secondary, we extend a warm welcome to you, our new Secondary 1 students, and your parents and guardians. Welcome to the IJ family!

From today, you join a sisterhood of CHIJ Secondary girls who live by our motto, Simple in Virtue, Steadfast in Duty. With 171 years of rich history and tradition, CHIJ Secondary is proud to offer a distinctive IJ education and experience. Our teachers and staff are excited to embark on this journey with you. We are here to guide and support you throughout your secondary school years, helping you grow into a woman of distinction.

We look forward to meeting you in person on Friday, 2 January 2026. In the meantime, we will be connecting with you and your parents and guardians virtually.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

For students intending to appeal to another school, you will still need to complete the form above. If your appeal to another school is successful, please inform the CHIJ General Office at 6353 4972 or chijtpss@moe.edu.sg

ONLINE BRIEFING

Please join us for an online webinar on Tuesday, 23 Dec 2025 at 9 am. This webinar is optional as most of the information is already on the school website. The link to access the Webinar will be sent via PG.

For identification purposes, please use the following naming convention when logging into the webinar:

• Students: Use the student's name (e.g., Angela Lee)

• Parents/Guardians: Use the student’s name followed by the parent’s/guardian’s name (e.g., Angela Lee_Bruce Lee)

SALES OF SCHOOL TEXTBOOKS AND SCHOOL UNIFORMS

We encourage students to buy textbooks and uniforms online - online order and payment may be made through the supplier’s websites. There are limited dates for physical sales of textbooks and uniforms in school. Therefore, please consider opting for the delivery services online.

SCHOOL SMART CARDS

Please note that all students entering Secondary 1 in Jan 2026 will be issued a new Secondary level School Smart Cards (SSC). We will update you on the collection of the card once the school is informed of the delivery dates.

While you wait for your Secondary level SSC to be ready, you can continue to use your Primary level SSCs for concessionary travel until you receive your new card. You can still purchase the Bus Concession Pass (BCP) using your Primary level SSCs but you will need to purchase the BCP for Secondary School students.

ANNUAL HEALTH SCREENING, IMMUNISATION AND DENTAL SERVICES

The Health Promotion Board (HBP) provides annual health screening, immunisation and dental services for your child. These services ensure the protection of your child’s health and early detection of health issues. Your consent is needed to ensure your child receives these important health and dental services provided. Please refer to a separate PG in late Dec or early 2026 with instructions for consent.

PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION ACT (PDPA)

A PDPA consent letter will also be sent separately via PG for your approval, allowing us to use your daughter’s photographs in various school publications and on our social media accounts.
