IJ Dance Ensemble (IJDE) is a versatile dance group whose signature style is contemporary with a strong Asian flavour. Besides actively participating in biennial Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) Dance Showcase, IJDE has also been invited to perform at the Asian Youth Games (2009), Youth Olympics Games (2010) and National Day Parade (2012).

In 2011, the group participated in Dance Grand Prix Italia 2011 and won awards for Best Choreography, Best Ethnic Dance and the Bonci Theatre Best Performance.

In 2015, IJDE was invited to showcase its highly acclaimed Singapore Youth Festival piece, Mirth and Merriment, at the opening ceremony of the World Dance Alliance (Singapore) Conference and Republic Polytechnic’s Momentum.

In 2017, IJDE was yet again awarded Distinction at the Singapore Youth Festival Arts Presentation for Dance in the International category for its Japanese-inspired piece, Pastoral Charm.

In 2018, IJDE participated in the Art and Dance Twinning and Cultural Programme to Fukuoka, Japan. Dancers attended dance workshops that broadened their knowledge of Japanese culture and dance forms, and shared their experience with peers through a dance presentation.
