Intensive training for dragon-boat competition (Feb to May)
|Venue||CHIJ Secondary /outside school, venue depends on activities|
CHIJ ODAC challenges the individual to overcome their fears through the various activities. ODAC trainings are divided into water and land activities. For water activities, the girls train in dragon-boating and participate in dragon-boat competitions like the National Inter-schools Dragon-boat Competition and Temasek Regatta.
CHIJ ODAC has done well in recent National Inter-schools Dragon-boat Competitions.
DB12: First runner-up
DB12: First runner-up, DB22: First runner-up
DB22: Second runner-up
For land activities, the girls do rock-climbing, abseiling and bouldering. At the end of their stay with us, all students will achieve SNCS (Singapore National Climbing Standards) and SNAS (Singapore National Abseiling Standards) Level 1 certification.
All activities provide numerous opportunities and occasions for the girls to step out of their comfort zones and work as a team. These activities train mental toughness and physical endurance, often stretching the girls to new heights.
