The CHIJ Concert Band stands out as one of Singapore's leading Secondary School Bands, celebrated for its outstanding performances. An integral part of CHIJ Secondary, the Band has received the Certificate of Distinction at the Singapore Youth Festival Arts Presentation in 2015, 2017, 2019, 2021, 2023 and 2025. The Band has had the privilege of performing at prominent venues, including the Esplanade Concert Hall during the ‘Limelight’ series in 2014, 2016, and 2018, 2024.
In November 2018, they performed at the Istana for President Halimah Yacob during the Deepavali Open House. Looking ahead, the Band will return to the Esplanade Concert Hall on 30 March 2026 for another performance. With over a hundred dedicated students, the Band enriches the cultural life at CHIJ Secondary while instilling discipline, perseverance, and GRIT. Our graduates excel both musically and academically, becoming well-rounded individuals ready to contribute to society.
